Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Are you excited for the big game tonight??

Honestly…I’m happy if either team wins because I’m really just here for the halftime show and the commercials 😉

Close to 100 million people will be watching the game tonight and then discussing all the action tomorrow at work, on the radio, online, and all over social media. Regardless of who wins, tonight’s event will give us plenty to talk about, so my question is this – is your business giving customers plenty to talk about?

Did you know that:

  • 92% of you who are reading this email believe recommendations from friends and family more than advertising?
  • 74% of you credit word-of-mouth as a key influencer in your purchasing decisions?
  • But less than 1% of your businesses actually have a strategy to generate word-of-mouth!

Word-of-mouth for you as a brand or as a business doesn’t just happen. You can make it happen.

You can make conscious operational choices to create such an effective word-of-mouth trigger amongst your customers that your clients become your marketing department! And you get to cut back on your marketing costs because your talk trigger generates free leads so well.

Yup.

It’s why the Cheesecake Factory’s menu is so famous. Why the Doubletree Hotel’s warm cookie is brought up in more than 30%+ of their online reviews. And it’s why you need to create one of these talk triggers in your business to separate yourself from your competitors and showcase your values in a really tangible way.

And everyone can do this successfully regardless of the size of your business or the reach of your brand.

My challenge for you this week is to think about adding a talkable moment in your customer experience to encourage word-of-mouth.
