We are ALL Ambitiously Frustrated

Welcome to the 10th edition of From V to You, a weekly letter of inspiration, tips, tricks, and behind-the-scenes of how I’m building a business around my personal brand so you can too. If you’ve missed the previous letters, you can always read them here. Shout out to everyone from Digital Summit Series this week!

Have you ever said something that struck a chord with total strangers at the same time??

You feel it instantly. Their receptiveness, the head nods, maybe even the audible “YES.”

That happened to me this week.

I spoke at Digital Summit Series in Tampa, and I told the room what I like to call this constant state of being we’re all in and here’s the response I got:

Being Ambitiously Frustrated

Wanting more, having goals not yet reached, expectations not yet met, and aspirations still propelling me forward. I’m incredibly ambitious, and I’m always frustrated 🙂 And if I feel that and speak to that, I will also attract those that feel that way too. And if I can attract them, I can serve them.

  • Do you know how others feel?
  • Do you know how they would describe their own state of being?
  • Do you share their frustrations with them?
  • Most importantly, can you help them with it?

My Challenge For You This Week

Formally or informally, I want you to survey those you wish to serve. I want you to ask them GUIDING questions. Questions with the sole intent to help them and guide them to their success. Ask questions like:

  • How do you define personal (or professional) success?
  • What do you feel is standing in your way?
  • How do you feel about your present situation in relation to your goals?
  • Why is it important to you that you succeed?
  • How could I help you best?

Let them answer in their own words without checkboxes or options. You limit their feedback and you don’t go beyond the surface of the problem if you confine their feelings.

Remember, people will buy from you and say yes to you when they feel understood by you, not when they understand you. Seek to understand this week and cut through the noise to serve.

Ps. If there’s someone in your life who could use this in theirs, please forward my letter so they can subscribe. You never know whose life you could change.

Spread the love
