You Need to Scale

This week’s theme for me has been all about SCALING – scaling my business.

Online, scaling a business means setting the stage to enable and support growth in your company. It means having the ability to grow without being hampered.”

In my world, scaling means finding ways to serve as many people as possible when your calendar won’t let you. 

Even before I officially found out about becoming a Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi speaker, my gut was telling me that in 2020 there wouldn’t be enough time on my calendar to help everyone who would ask. With each new stage or event I get to be a part of, there would be wonderful people I’d meet along the way that I’d want to help 1:1 or would ask for my help. And the worst feeling in the world for me is telling someone, “I can’t.” 😔

I don’t want to disappoint or let anyone down. But my calendar is the villain in my story right now.

So all of Q4 2019 was me thinking and praying to know how I can continue helping other people with the knowledge and skills I’ve been given throughout my career:

  • How can I take the best of my coaching and marketing wisdom and give it to others that works for both my schedule and theirs?
  • How can I help others grow their business and avoid the entrepreneurial scars I’ve had in growing mine?
  • How can I guide people to find their voice and stand out in this crazy online marketing world?

Those questions haunted me until, in a moment of inspiration, I thought of compiling some of the best from my coaching sessions.

You see, I developed a process several years ago that helps companies and personal brands find their brand’s core, align their efforts with their customers’ aspirations, and build marketing bridges that are authentic and impactful. I take all my clients through the same process regardless of industry, discipline, intended customer type, etc.

If I already have this tried and true process of success that I lead clients through one-by-one, why couldn’t I just record my part of that process? And then offer future students my recorded teachings, so they feel as if I was with them all along.

Well, three months later, my online course Turn Contacts into Customers™ was born. It’s my way of giving my successful formula to anyone, anywhere. It’s how I’ve helped hundreds of clients over 12+ years of marketing and branding. It’s how I was able to turn my company around and sell it. That was my answer to scaling…what’s yours?

I want you to think about your day-to-day right now.

  • Are there conversations you’re having ALL the time that don’t really differ?
  • Are their stories you always share about yourself?
  • Do your customers experience the same road bumps or aspire for similar things?
  • Do you find yourself answering the same questions over and over again?

If you answer YES to any of those questions, I highly recommend you begin to think of a way to do it just ONCE more and have that content be distributable forever. Here are some ideas:

  • Record yourself answering commonly asked questions.
  • Create your own online course with the best of your coaching/teaching.
  • Make your own webpage or website with my perfect home page formula that includes a video of your unique story.
  • Create free or paid downloads that solve road bumps.

You have to find ways to eliminate repetition from your business. Delegate or document what you can to grow and serve unrestrained. 

Even my husband’s LASIK Eye Surgeon recorded a WHOLE video series on what a prospective LASIK patient should expect before, during, and after their surgery. You know how many times he probably said the saaaammmeeee thing to alleviate the saaammmmeeee concerns people had. Ya, even doctors, can delegate or document to scale!

That’s my challenge for you this week. We’re almost done with the first month of 2020, and I know each of you want to grow your businesses and brands. So start thinking you’re Oprah and Apple already. You know they ain’t repeating the same things over again. 😂
